To show that in reality not all of my turnings go well. Here's an attempt to make a box with a lattice lid for our "homework" Needless to say I think there was too much presuure on the thin lid hence the failure. I will maybe try some other way to cut the grooves.
I did this as a warmup in preparation for the above attempt. When I first started woodturning I did a couple of boxes and have done nothing for the last couple of years. Indian mahogany with a textured lid.A hollowform in progress, about 100 mm dia, made from White Stinkwood. I am considering colouring this piece as the wood dries an unattractive colour
